Assessment – Core to Recruitment and Talent Development

If you need help with designing or running your assessment process for recruitment, succession planning and talent development, we can help.

We are a team of Business Psychologists highly experienced in job analysis, competency framework design, capability mapping for the future and then building assessment materials to measure those desired skills.

From the early stages of defining what is needed, to the practicalities of training hiring managers in more objective interviewing, we’ve got you covered.

Recruitment is still a mix of art and science, and our role is to set up good practices, to increase objectivity and improve the chances of making the right hire.

We can work with you as closely as you like, so if you’re looking to completely outsource your assessment design that’s good with us. And if you’re looking for more of a partnership approach, where we train up your team and build their skills to run such projects in-house in future, that’s even more our happy place. We love to see our clients benefit from working with us in more way than one!

Our constant push for work on recruitment and assessment is to keep things simple. Clarity and simplicity are at the centre of everything we do here. Whilst we’ve got the more in-depth job analysis tools to use, we are ultimately asking simple questions like, what does the role involve? How might someone need to go about doing that for it to work well in this organisation? What makes the difference between someone ok at this job and someone who is outstanding? If that all works now, how might that be different in the future? How do we hire now, ready for that future?

Over the many years we have been building assessment frameworks and materials, we have developed an approach that works extremely well for designing and delivering these assessments, to specifically measure the behaviours identified in the job analysis.

We make it easy for hiring managers, trained assessors or our own assessment team supporting you in the delivery, to directly observe and measure how well candidates demonstrate the behaviours critical to the role.
